On 11 April 2018, General Viddhavat Rajatanun, Ombudsman for Chief Ombudsman, attended the opening ceremony of campaign against drunk driving “Don’t Drive Drunk: Safety and Zero Death” held by Don’t Drive Drunk Foundation, in association with Dr. Pairin Chuchotethavorn, Deputy Minister of Transport, Dr. Taejing Siripanich, Secretary-General of Don't Drive Drunk Foundation, Pol. Maj. Gen. Woraphong Thongphaibun, Chief of the Railway Police Division, Mr. Arnon Luangboriboon, Acting Governor of the State Railway of Thailand, representatives from Road Safety Network Parties, and public and private sectors, at Hau Lamphong Railway Station.
     The campaign aimed at raising awareness of traffic discipline, driving and strict law enforcement, and warning against careless driving, especially drunk driving, which is one of the causes of road accidents and deaths. In addition, the Office of the Ombudsman of Thailand also held an exhibition to provide information on the Ombudsman’s mandate and jurisdiction to public and private agencies and general public who attended the campaign.
